“The Great Dodecahedron” is an interactive installation designed to illustrate the connection between patterns and shapes.  I was inspired by the Sieman’s Star: a radiating pattern of black and white wedges each 5 degree wide. It is easy to see in or out-of-focus even with camcorder view finders which have awful resolution. I started this project from this Idea by making a paper  Great Dodecahedron, then using a projector and software (After Effect) to create this installation.
